"Water for Elephants"...not what I expected.

After waiting and waiting for this book to be available at the public library, I just couldn't wait any longer.  I made my way to Barnes & Noble and bought Water for Elephants by Sara Gruen. So far, I'm pleasantly surprised by what I've read.  The story provides an emotional view into the life of someone in their 90s who is remembering the past, which is painful and exciting all at once.  I didn't expect to have this perspective when reading this book, but I love seeing into the soul of someone whose wisdom and knowledge seem unnoticed or unappreciated by a younger generation.  I'm hooked, and I can't wait to see what happens next.
